Christian Fafard, M.Sc.

Christian joined BioSignal Packard in 1998 following a Master’s degree in molecular pharmacology at Université Laval in Québec where he studied atypical beta-adrenergic receptors.

His first tasks were to extend the GPCR membranes products line offering, develop related innovative HTS technologies and perform screening contracts. He then got involved with the AlphaScreen and LANCE technologies and worked on introducing new tools and kits like GSH beads and cGMP detection.

In more recent years, he was part of PerkinElmer’s OnPoint team, which executed over 80 biochemical and cell-based custom assay development projects for worldwide biopharma and academic customers. Some of these projects led to the introduction of innovative AlphaLISA assays in the field of Alzheimer’s and Huntington’s diseases.
